Want Love: Don't smell good.

I was watching a program on, what happens when people fall in love? Or to be more specific, what attract a person to another?

Guess what they said; one of the important organs that make you fall in love is your nose. Yes not the physical appearance of your nose but the smell of the other person. Our brain is a very complex organ, it can do millions of calculation within a second without us even knowing. So it’s said that many men and women (boys and girls) to some extend get attracted to the opposite sex by the way they smell.

It’s said that due to the human tendency of natural selection we select subconsciously a person with a different immune system than that of ours, I means a better immune system then that of ours. This is done without us even knowing about it. That’s the reason why they say people blindly fall in love or love at first site. The smell of a person has many details embedded in them. Like his hormonal levels, the details for his immune system and how good is his reproductive system and so on.

If you see within the animal kingdom excluding humans, it’s the females that rule (Sexually). As they always say (jokingly) for the males the blood always travels either up to their brains or down to their penis (so either a brain or a dick rules the world, so it a brain is not running your country you know what……). Many animals have to fight to show their strength and ability to protect to win the females, so the strongest, fastest and smartest always has the chance to copulate. He is the one who has all the females. In the birds its more about attractiveness, so you see the peacock flashing its feathers, the cuckoo singing its tunes, hummingbirds making beautiful nests to attract, etc (etc means I know more but I just don’t want to type). Females choose the guys that rule. There are many physical features in guys that tell the girls about their health and the way their babies will be born; which attract them to that guy; all this calculations are done by the brain in milliseconds and then they say "that guy’s finda cute."

There is a difference between love and desire. The hormonal changes in humans make us desire for sex. Desire is all about sex. Love is more about care and faith and chemicals that put you in that elated state. Researchers have proven that the brain reacts in the same way for a person who is in love and for a person who is on cocaine. That’s the reason why people say love is an addiction. When people are in love they just can’t be separated, that's the reason why guys in love commit suicide or kill and do certain things which are not considered normal because love is an addiction (more like what people do when they don’t get their cocaine.) People always confuse between love and desire, most of us desire more than we love. Most college love or physical attractiveness is more of desire, that’s one of the reason many of the college love stories end before marriage. Desire is like a kid wanting a toy, once he/she has it and used it the way they like than they feel indifferent towards it. Researchers say couples in love are much less likely to cheat on their partners than those not in love.

Sex is one of the important factor in love. Researchers say if a person keeps a sexual relation with another person for a long period of time they are likely to fall in love with one another. As the brain shows the same chemical reactions among such people as seen between lovers, after a certain number of encounters. That’s the reason why statistics show that arranged marriages are more successful than those that are made up on desire. It’s all about the chemicals.

Why have humans become so attractive and different from where they started as apes?
One theory says about aliens genes in humans. (For about this you could read my blog http://alien-philosophy.blogspot.com/)

The second theory is Drawins theory of natural selection. Its say that as humans evolved, the men or women chose only the stronger, smarter and the more attractive among the others to copulate. So as years went by and only those with better genes got more sex and chance to reproduce and hence here we are. More off to put it in one sentence, "Survival of the fittest" Latter on as we colonized and started copulating among our colonies and thus forming different civilization, countries and ethnic groups. Cultures, languages, war and stupidity are all offshoots of this.

PS: All details of researches written here are true to the best of my knowledge as I have read it or seen documentaries on it. Please bring any discrepancies to my notice.

Its all in your mind.

I always thought that reading a book to change one self is foolishness. I always told people that you can never change your self by just reading book.

I was wrong, I admit it. However I still stick to what I have said, you cannot change your self by just reading books; you have to implement what you read. How do you grow a mango tree in your backyard by just expecting it to grow? When you expect your create a idea, now you know what you want and what to expect; its than, that you have to implement; to go out there and plant an mango seed in your backyard.

There are many books on topics like, "how not to worry", "how to be a good salesmen", "how to improve your married life" and the like; the authors don’t tell you anything new, it’s all what you know. Some good authors will teach you how to implement certain things, many write the same thing over and over again without telling you what can be done. At the end of it, you are the one who has to change your life.

Good books tell you nothing more than what you know, they are the medium of getting those things you know from the back of your head into the foreground of your thoughts, so that you can then think on it, analyze it and help yourself to implement what you think you can achieve. When you take up an idea, you have started the process then the whole universe conspires for you to achieve that. For me, I am the center of the universe, all what happens in the universe happens for me; it’s the same for you for you are the center of the universe. So when you focus upon an idea, opportunities start to surface, you see more doors opening for you. Now it’s up to you; you just don’t sit there for things to happen get up and make them happen.

You get what you ask and you are what you think you are, so always ask for more than what you can achieve and aim for higher than your believes. Michelangelo always prayed, "Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish."

If you think you can never afford something you will never be, if you think you can never achieve something you will never be able to. Why do you think money come to those who already have enough? Because they spend what they have and desire for more. A beggar, even if you give him a million dollars you will still find him begging. It’s just because that’s what they think they are. If you think you are happy you are. Many people on earth earn whole their life and still don’t have enough of it, they keep desiring for more; its like if I had 100 dollars I would do this, but when you earn that 100 dollars you don’t go and get that thing you wanted. You just say if I had 1000 dollars I would get that, it’s a chain; when you reach the point where you could get what you want you don’t go and get it. You just desire for more; when you have no more physical energy left, you start regretting for not getting the things you always wanted.
When I was a kid I was told a story about a peasant:
For some reason the king wanted to reward this particular peasant, he said "you can have as much land you wanted; however you have to walk that land. Tomorrow from six in the morning to six in the evening whatever area of land you walk will be yours, but by six in the evening you should be back where you started". The peasant got up early next morning.... (I am trying to cut the story short) and wanted to cover as much ground as he could, started running...... by twelve in the afternoon he was exhausted, he dint want to waste time on eating so he kept walking. He wanted to return, but he kept telling himself a little more and I will be done, then at three o’clock he realized he had to get back to the start. So with all his energy he ran back, but died of exhaustion a kilometer from start.

There are no problems in the universe, there are problems only in our mind. We get so engrossed in our problems that we fail to look at the infinite solutions around it.

Swami Vivekananda Said:
"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life- think of it, live on the idea. Let the brain, muscle, nerve, every part of your body, be full of that idea, just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success."

To make a country!

They sat all day, thinking of the past,
Memories of what a country they were born,
Was the only thing that ruled their thoughts.

You ask them “what your country is made of?”
You hear nothing but memories of the past,
No dreams of future, no hope of a start;
All that they said was the memories of the past.

“What are your dreams for future?” if asked,
Not to be outdone they argued, “we are a county of the past.”
We had a great country where people looked upon,
Where our kings ruled wonderfully,
And happy were the rest of all.

Dream is what you lack said I,
To make a country for the world to see,
Leave the past as history, lets see a common dream for days to come,
Let this dream not let us sleep!
To make my country a part of me,
But me a part of the country.

"Memories of the glorious past are talked about more than the dreams of a better future..... Its then we know that the country men have nothing new to offer, so to defend their present miseries they talk about their history. Then we know for sure we are in the wrong crowd."

Waiting!!

I have waited, waited forever. Waited for things to change in my life; have I done enough to let the change happen?
I don’t know. But I keep waiting for the change, hoping that something new will happen now, this very moment. Nothing ever happens; am I not doing enough for my life to change?
Waiting is what I have done, patiently very patiently.

The only thing that has ever changed for me is time.

I have hope, hope that something new will happen the very next moment. Hope that I will be called and will get the news of change; Change from waiting for things and life to move on.

The biggest fear of my life; something that I feared as much as I would fear a large serpent with its hood ready to strike me at any moment……. and that my legs are stuck with fear. I could run but my legs have become so heavy that I just cant, no matter how hard I try.
The same fear has come true: “of yesterday being the same as tomorrow.”
I hate days where I can tell what I would be doing a week from now.
I had imagined a life of adventure and fun, where tomorrow would always be a present yet to be opened; where I could only guess its contents.

However I have waited for things to happen. Not that I have nothing to do, but the things I do hardly ever matter.

I know I could do many things. It’s this choice that keeps me from doing anything. As I have many choices it’s hard for me to choose one. But I chose “this.”

The voice in my head says just wait a little longer, your life will change. The vice in my life is shouting at me “enough of waiting”.

But I am still waiting.
