Its all in your mind.

I always thought that reading a book to change one self is foolishness. I always told people that you can never change your self by just reading book.

I was wrong, I admit it. However I still stick to what I have said, you cannot change your self by just reading books; you have to implement what you read. How do you grow a mango tree in your backyard by just expecting it to grow? When you expect your create a idea, now you know what you want and what to expect; its than, that you have to implement; to go out there and plant an mango seed in your backyard.

There are many books on topics like, "how not to worry", "how to be a good salesmen", "how to improve your married life" and the like; the authors don’t tell you anything new, it’s all what you know. Some good authors will teach you how to implement certain things, many write the same thing over and over again without telling you what can be done. At the end of it, you are the one who has to change your life.

Good books tell you nothing more than what you know, they are the medium of getting those things you know from the back of your head into the foreground of your thoughts, so that you can then think on it, analyze it and help yourself to implement what you think you can achieve. When you take up an idea, you have started the process then the whole universe conspires for you to achieve that. For me, I am the center of the universe, all what happens in the universe happens for me; it’s the same for you for you are the center of the universe. So when you focus upon an idea, opportunities start to surface, you see more doors opening for you. Now it’s up to you; you just don’t sit there for things to happen get up and make them happen.

You get what you ask and you are what you think you are, so always ask for more than what you can achieve and aim for higher than your believes. Michelangelo always prayed, "Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish."

If you think you can never afford something you will never be, if you think you can never achieve something you will never be able to. Why do you think money come to those who already have enough? Because they spend what they have and desire for more. A beggar, even if you give him a million dollars you will still find him begging. It’s just because that’s what they think they are. If you think you are happy you are. Many people on earth earn whole their life and still don’t have enough of it, they keep desiring for more; its like if I had 100 dollars I would do this, but when you earn that 100 dollars you don’t go and get that thing you wanted. You just say if I had 1000 dollars I would get that, it’s a chain; when you reach the point where you could get what you want you don’t go and get it. You just desire for more; when you have no more physical energy left, you start regretting for not getting the things you always wanted.
When I was a kid I was told a story about a peasant:
For some reason the king wanted to reward this particular peasant, he said "you can have as much land you wanted; however you have to walk that land. Tomorrow from six in the morning to six in the evening whatever area of land you walk will be yours, but by six in the evening you should be back where you started". The peasant got up early next morning.... (I am trying to cut the story short) and wanted to cover as much ground as he could, started running...... by twelve in the afternoon he was exhausted, he dint want to waste time on eating so he kept walking. He wanted to return, but he kept telling himself a little more and I will be done, then at three o’clock he realized he had to get back to the start. So with all his energy he ran back, but died of exhaustion a kilometer from start.

There are no problems in the universe, there are problems only in our mind. We get so engrossed in our problems that we fail to look at the infinite solutions around it.

Swami Vivekananda Said:
"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life- think of it, live on the idea. Let the brain, muscle, nerve, every part of your body, be full of that idea, just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success."
