HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year, hope all your dreams come true in this year.

Here is a letter i had written to my friends wishing them...... Hope you would like reading it...

Hi All,

A another year gone by, frankly this year hasn't done any good to me other than making me old.. seriously. I know you probably aren't interested in knowing how and what happened in my life this year... neither am i interested in telling.

I realized and you all know, we never mail each other mails other than forwards. So a thought came to my mind; as i am not doing any constructive work.. let alone destructive, let me write to my friends. Yup i have no much work however i am not that free that i could write a letter individually to each one of you. Many like forwards, it the only entertainment in office but most like forwards with pictures. Most of you will just delete the mail if its a big story or letter... no one wants to read.. every one has a very short interest span... i wonder how many of you reach this part of my mail <:)>.

Friends... as we don't write to each other and many a time our friendship is restricted to ... hi, bye, how are you? and how is work? type of questions. A bright though came to my brilliant brain... so thought of writing to you all. Now i could have written a common letter and just changed names to make you feel that you got mail .

I don't ask you to start chain mails saying how your year went by. I am just writing to tell you all i am alive (kidding) and to wish you all........ I hope a few words (not bad words) to me wont do any harm....

Hope all of you have a wonderful year ahead. Keep in touch......

Enjoy you new year bash, if at all you are going to one.... "If you drink ... drink till you drop.. so you wont have to worry about driving back home <;)>"

I wont bore you more..... A very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you.... make some more resolutions that you wont keep... so that you could make them again next year... <;) >

ENJOY!

Love,
Ninad.

Liars!

Women lie more than men.
Why do you all think men don’t respond on being called liars? Why do women get away with their lies?
Simply because men are bad liars and they get distracted by the beauty of women when they lie.

People lie only for two reasons:
Its either to keep you happy or to keep you ignorant.
I fear when women lie to keep me ignorant and men to keep me happy.

I have stopped lying long time ago. If the truth is haunting and not to be uttered; I keep quit. This confuses the other person, he then gives up all his efforts of knowing the truth.
I lie only to save others but myself.

Snippet 4

Wine and Gold were lost in wood.
Year after year the trees praised Gold,
for not turning old.
But all these years, Gold remained gold
And Wine was now worth more than Gold.

And sat with the key tied to me.
As opportunity knocked;
I cursed them all, for not opening the door for me.

I made castles in sand,
Made them as beautiful as I could imagine.
But nobody there to see.
When I got them all to see;
nobody trusted me;

The wonders of Sleep.

“Let’s sleep on it”, a few years ago I felt this phrase to be funny. I do even today, some times. However considering the fact that many famous people have got answers to their difficult problem in their dream (many people have got answers to their questions in their dream and become famous), I no longer feel the way I used to.

I have been thinking how important is sleep to us? Considering the fact that every one sleeps. If a person goes too long without sleep he may suffer many physical consequences (read about it on the net). Researchers have shown that during one’s deep sleep period (NREM- non rapid eye movement) the brain activity is same as when a person is fully conscious. While thinking about it I came up with a hypothetical explanation about our sleep. The description here is more spiritual than scientific and more of what I feel. Now that I don’t have time and funding to research on my claims and publish them; I will just put forth the idea here.

The universe, our brain, our mind (subconscious) and spirits are more complex than we can imagine. The idea here is we make our destiny; and as people say you are what you think you are. We become what we dream and achieve what we want sooner or later. The only reason we don’t achieve our goals is because we keep changing our goals. So our mind (subconscious) which guides us to the goal is confused on what to pursue. Many spiritual leaders will tell you chant on the name of God and you’ll get close to God. Similarly if you desire something and think about it always; the whole universe will work accordingly to fulfill your desire and dream. As Swami Vivekananda said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, live on the idea. Let the brain, muscle, nerve, every part of your body, be full of that idea and leave every other idea alone. This is the way to Success.” So when you consciously dwell a lot on an idea (that’s your dream) your subconscious comes up with answers to all your questions and you feel your destiny taking you close to your goal. Its said in the Geeta, Bible and Quran “What you shall believe thou shall come onto you.”

Consider for each living thing on the earth; humans, animals, insects etc there is a huge board on which your aspirations are written or downloaded (in computer terms); so if you keep changing your goals then you don’t give the universe enough time to get you to your goal or your subconscious wont help you in getting you your goals. You will ask me how is sleep important here? Now you have your dream or goal set, you are working towards fulfilling it but how do you write your goal on the board of the universe and let God know about your prayers and wants. God too will be confused on what you want to achieve if you keep praying for different things in short interval of time or you keep asking (thinking) for two thing which contradict each other eg: you pray to God to you want admission in a good college and then keep thinking all the time that you aren’t prepared for the test. Remember that thinking is like praying. If you think good, good shall be onto you; same for evil. Just think of what you want than thinking about how you will achieve it; leave the achieving part to the universe and the subconscious. When you consciously dwell on a goal that goal gets embedded in your subconsciously then this ideas are carried to the universe and God at the end of the day when you sleep. So sleep is very important.
When you sleep your ideas and goals are written on the board of the universe from where God reads them and your destiny is made. Now if you have only one goal the board will contain only that one idea and dream thus you will see your dreams coming true sooner. However if you keep changing your goal you confuse every one and its than that God will choose what he believe is the best for you. All what you dream is send through your sleep to the universe. Our brains are more complex then what we think they are. When you are awake you dream and when you sleep you transfer then to your subconscious thus influencing the universe around yourself. Our sleep reduces with age as we have less goals in old age when we have no goals at-all we tend to sleep less.

So why do you think babies sleep more and the older people sleep less?
I figure it out that babies are influenced by the environment in which they are living; they have no dreams or goals of their own (when born). The people around them are influencing their life putting in lot of information into their minds unknowingly. Like the language they learn, the surrounding they see and the prosperity of the family as a whole; all these information is processed by the baby brain and as this information is lot the baby needs to sleep more to transfer this info in to the subconscious mind. Thus till the baby can walk and speak they sleep more or to put it this way they have to sleep more. If you have a healthy family environment and let the baby sleep well, they will develop better. We know different people need different amount of sleep. It is said six hours of sleep is necessary for a healthy body and mind. Some people can do with just three to four hours of sleep where as some require eight hours of minimum sleep. I believe that people with no set goals and future aspirations need less sleep than those with many. Also those with a set goal will need less sleep that those who have many goals that keep changing every now and then. If you have a set goal you have only that goal which you think of every day and its no new information you are giving in, eventually you will have put your idea to your subconscious and your subconscious will start giving you ideas on how to fulfill them. Thus when you have a set idea eventually goal will be fulfilled earlier. However if you keep changing your goals and making contradictory goals which confuses your subconscious you will need more sleep as the mind figures out a way to achieve it. As the former president of India A P J Abdul Kalam said “ Dream is not what you see in your sleep, it what, that does not let you sleep.” Thus when your thoughts have sunk in to your subconscious, the subconscious transfers them to the board on the universe and then the whole universe conspires so that you reach your goal (I thought all these very funny to begin with but I have changed now). So its important you stick to you goal.

Similarly older people sleep less because memories rule their thoughts more than dreams. I mean they can do without much sleep. When you grow old you become tired mentally and also physically so you stop dreaming, you stop setting goals; thus very less or no information is transferred between your conscious and subconscious. Set a goal or make a dream, dream it, live on it and most important of all sleep well.

So sleep your way to success!

My mind works!

Want Love: Don't smell good.

I was watching a program on, what happens when people fall in love? Or to be more specific, what attract a person to another?

Guess what they said; one of the important organs that make you fall in love is your nose. Yes not the physical appearance of your nose but the smell of the other person. Our brain is a very complex organ, it can do millions of calculation within a second without us even knowing. So it’s said that many men and women (boys and girls) to some extend get attracted to the opposite sex by the way they smell.

It’s said that due to the human tendency of natural selection we select subconsciously a person with a different immune system than that of ours, I means a better immune system then that of ours. This is done without us even knowing about it. That’s the reason why they say people blindly fall in love or love at first site. The smell of a person has many details embedded in them. Like his hormonal levels, the details for his immune system and how good is his reproductive system and so on.

If you see within the animal kingdom excluding humans, it’s the females that rule (Sexually). As they always say (jokingly) for the males the blood always travels either up to their brains or down to their penis (so either a brain or a dick rules the world, so it a brain is not running your country you know what……). Many animals have to fight to show their strength and ability to protect to win the females, so the strongest, fastest and smartest always has the chance to copulate. He is the one who has all the females. In the birds its more about attractiveness, so you see the peacock flashing its feathers, the cuckoo singing its tunes, hummingbirds making beautiful nests to attract, etc (etc means I know more but I just don’t want to type). Females choose the guys that rule. There are many physical features in guys that tell the girls about their health and the way their babies will be born; which attract them to that guy; all this calculations are done by the brain in milliseconds and then they say "that guy’s finda cute."

There is a difference between love and desire. The hormonal changes in humans make us desire for sex. Desire is all about sex. Love is more about care and faith and chemicals that put you in that elated state. Researchers have proven that the brain reacts in the same way for a person who is in love and for a person who is on cocaine. That’s the reason why people say love is an addiction. When people are in love they just can’t be separated, that's the reason why guys in love commit suicide or kill and do certain things which are not considered normal because love is an addiction (more like what people do when they don’t get their cocaine.) People always confuse between love and desire, most of us desire more than we love. Most college love or physical attractiveness is more of desire, that’s one of the reason many of the college love stories end before marriage. Desire is like a kid wanting a toy, once he/she has it and used it the way they like than they feel indifferent towards it. Researchers say couples in love are much less likely to cheat on their partners than those not in love.

Sex is one of the important factor in love. Researchers say if a person keeps a sexual relation with another person for a long period of time they are likely to fall in love with one another. As the brain shows the same chemical reactions among such people as seen between lovers, after a certain number of encounters. That’s the reason why statistics show that arranged marriages are more successful than those that are made up on desire. It’s all about the chemicals.

Why have humans become so attractive and different from where they started as apes?
One theory says about aliens genes in humans. (For about this you could read my blog http://alien-philosophy.blogspot.com/)

The second theory is Drawins theory of natural selection. Its say that as humans evolved, the men or women chose only the stronger, smarter and the more attractive among the others to copulate. So as years went by and only those with better genes got more sex and chance to reproduce and hence here we are. More off to put it in one sentence, "Survival of the fittest" Latter on as we colonized and started copulating among our colonies and thus forming different civilization, countries and ethnic groups. Cultures, languages, war and stupidity are all offshoots of this.

PS: All details of researches written here are true to the best of my knowledge as I have read it or seen documentaries on it. Please bring any discrepancies to my notice.

Its all in your mind.

I always thought that reading a book to change one self is foolishness. I always told people that you can never change your self by just reading book.

I was wrong, I admit it. However I still stick to what I have said, you cannot change your self by just reading books; you have to implement what you read. How do you grow a mango tree in your backyard by just expecting it to grow? When you expect your create a idea, now you know what you want and what to expect; its than, that you have to implement; to go out there and plant an mango seed in your backyard.

There are many books on topics like, "how not to worry", "how to be a good salesmen", "how to improve your married life" and the like; the authors don’t tell you anything new, it’s all what you know. Some good authors will teach you how to implement certain things, many write the same thing over and over again without telling you what can be done. At the end of it, you are the one who has to change your life.

Good books tell you nothing more than what you know, they are the medium of getting those things you know from the back of your head into the foreground of your thoughts, so that you can then think on it, analyze it and help yourself to implement what you think you can achieve. When you take up an idea, you have started the process then the whole universe conspires for you to achieve that. For me, I am the center of the universe, all what happens in the universe happens for me; it’s the same for you for you are the center of the universe. So when you focus upon an idea, opportunities start to surface, you see more doors opening for you. Now it’s up to you; you just don’t sit there for things to happen get up and make them happen.

You get what you ask and you are what you think you are, so always ask for more than what you can achieve and aim for higher than your believes. Michelangelo always prayed, "Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish."

If you think you can never afford something you will never be, if you think you can never achieve something you will never be able to. Why do you think money come to those who already have enough? Because they spend what they have and desire for more. A beggar, even if you give him a million dollars you will still find him begging. It’s just because that’s what they think they are. If you think you are happy you are. Many people on earth earn whole their life and still don’t have enough of it, they keep desiring for more; its like if I had 100 dollars I would do this, but when you earn that 100 dollars you don’t go and get that thing you wanted. You just say if I had 1000 dollars I would get that, it’s a chain; when you reach the point where you could get what you want you don’t go and get it. You just desire for more; when you have no more physical energy left, you start regretting for not getting the things you always wanted.
When I was a kid I was told a story about a peasant:
For some reason the king wanted to reward this particular peasant, he said "you can have as much land you wanted; however you have to walk that land. Tomorrow from six in the morning to six in the evening whatever area of land you walk will be yours, but by six in the evening you should be back where you started". The peasant got up early next morning.... (I am trying to cut the story short) and wanted to cover as much ground as he could, started running...... by twelve in the afternoon he was exhausted, he dint want to waste time on eating so he kept walking. He wanted to return, but he kept telling himself a little more and I will be done, then at three o’clock he realized he had to get back to the start. So with all his energy he ran back, but died of exhaustion a kilometer from start.

There are no problems in the universe, there are problems only in our mind. We get so engrossed in our problems that we fail to look at the infinite solutions around it.

Swami Vivekananda Said:
"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life- think of it, live on the idea. Let the brain, muscle, nerve, every part of your body, be full of that idea, just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success."

To make a country!

They sat all day, thinking of the past,
Memories of what a country they were born,
Was the only thing that ruled their thoughts.

You ask them “what your country is made of?”
You hear nothing but memories of the past,
No dreams of future, no hope of a start;
All that they said was the memories of the past.

“What are your dreams for future?” if asked,
Not to be outdone they argued, “we are a county of the past.”
We had a great country where people looked upon,
Where our kings ruled wonderfully,
And happy were the rest of all.

Dream is what you lack said I,
To make a country for the world to see,
Leave the past as history, lets see a common dream for days to come,
Let this dream not let us sleep!
To make my country a part of me,
But me a part of the country.

"Memories of the glorious past are talked about more than the dreams of a better future..... Its then we know that the country men have nothing new to offer, so to defend their present miseries they talk about their history. Then we know for sure we are in the wrong crowd."

Waiting!!

I have waited, waited forever. Waited for things to change in my life; have I done enough to let the change happen?
I don’t know. But I keep waiting for the change, hoping that something new will happen now, this very moment. Nothing ever happens; am I not doing enough for my life to change?
Waiting is what I have done, patiently very patiently.

The only thing that has ever changed for me is time.

I have hope, hope that something new will happen the very next moment. Hope that I will be called and will get the news of change; Change from waiting for things and life to move on.

The biggest fear of my life; something that I feared as much as I would fear a large serpent with its hood ready to strike me at any moment……. and that my legs are stuck with fear. I could run but my legs have become so heavy that I just cant, no matter how hard I try.
The same fear has come true: “of yesterday being the same as tomorrow.”
I hate days where I can tell what I would be doing a week from now.
I had imagined a life of adventure and fun, where tomorrow would always be a present yet to be opened; where I could only guess its contents.

However I have waited for things to happen. Not that I have nothing to do, but the things I do hardly ever matter.

I know I could do many things. It’s this choice that keeps me from doing anything. As I have many choices it’s hard for me to choose one. But I chose “this.”

The voice in my head says just wait a little longer, your life will change. The vice in my life is shouting at me “enough of waiting”.

But I am still waiting.

Money Goes

This is abstract, from the discussion about money a friend of mine and I had. I thought its pretty good as a post.

She: That experiment about the 8 monkeys** is amazing.. it says so much about the human behavior..
you can Actually put that example in almost all spheres of life.
1.religion
2.societal values

i have always wondered how the possession of money can influence the thinking. people with loads of money have not an ounce of fear while venturing out in a miniskirt.
speak of that word in a village and see the uproar...

Me: They feel differently because they have been brought up that way. Money broadens the mind....
Money doesn’t broaden mind.. the place where you live does... there are many rich girls who wont wear a mini skirt...
For ex: lets take Arab... they will kill the girl... not that they are poor.. all of them are rich.... just its not in their culture....
There are tribes in Africa.. were girls and women roam around topless... and dress you would say less then a mini skirt... that doesn’t mean they are rich... most of them live in huts with not light and sanitation.... its their tribal culture..

It does not matter you are rich or no... it the culture.. most of the girls who do so.. (mini skirt) are attention seekers... in higher middle class and the fashion industry (mostly in India)... they need attention…. for different reasons.. Money makes you think broader.. but money many time.. takes away your ability to think...

** Please read the blog http://idiot-humans.blogspot.com/ for the experiment of 8 monkeys.

Genie in my Bottle!

I ever wondered, what would be my 3 wishes, if ever I get a genie? Yes those genies you here in stories and see in movies….. that pop out with a big noise and say… “Muha ha ha ha…” first the dragged laughter track then the typical dialogue “I have been tapped in this bottle 300 years………. Your 3 whishes Master”.

Wow man after 300 years in that bottle, don’t you get any cramps and nervous break downs as you have been alone that long…. But ya why the hell I care? In all that dramatic entry in this free world ruled by political idiots the only thing that I manage to hear is “Your 3 wishes master.”
I have been thinking this for long, to give a value, lets say “years” and the 3 wishes I think I would ask for are:

I would like to read the mind of any person I want. May be he/she is in front of me or might be on some other planet, if wish, I should be able to read the mind of the person even if I don’t know him/her.

I want to live for 400 years but physically I should be only 25 years. I mean my age does not grow but I live 400 years. After 400 years I should die without any pain or disease. Just die.. like that. Now you might want to ask why 400 years?? Frankly I don’t know but some how I seem to like 400 years

Lastly! I want to see the past and the present, sit at one place close my eyes and whoosh I reach there, where I want to be. Which ever date and which ever place I can imagine in this universe, I want to see it, I should be able to see it. Ya not the future… “I like to make my own”.

Living in the Metro..

Yesterday I saw the movie “Living in the Metro”… typical exaggerated Hindi movie of present day people’s relation. I kind of liked it.

Long working hours, nagging wife and guys and girls ready to go to any limits to gain that extra bug does lead extramarital affairs. Also when girls are ready to give in for promotions, bosses do exploit them sexually. Even if we don’t want to believe, such things do happen in corporate India.

For ages and even today, no matter what the story is, if it remotely has something to do with sex, “Girls suffer.” Even though Indian society has become open in terms of boys and girls working together, living away from home and working in night shifts, sex still remains a taboo here. The idea of sex education in school still does not penetrate the thick skulls of our oldies. Well its required and damn its required even more today! Personally guys and girls wont reframe from having sex but they will be educated enough to save themselves from unwanted pregnancies and disease related to sexual intercourse.
